2021 Tournament Secretary’s Report

After last year’s AGM on Saturday 22 August we were able to commence bridge sessions for restricted numbers under Covid19 rules at the CCBC on Monday 14 September2020. Unfortunately we were unable to run all our Club Championship events, however we did manage to conduct all our Red Point events. Once again in 2021 Covid19 forced us into lockdown from Saturday 26 June. So as of now the CCBC has been closed for 13 weeks. Who knows when we will be able to play face to face bridge again, maybe December? We still have 10 Red Point sessions to run, 8 Trophy events and 7 Club Championship events. The good news is that as Covid19 gradually eased last year we were able to have more tables and mix a little more freely (thanks to Kerrie Ransom keeping us updated).

Let’s hope that we can all be at the CCBC in time for a great Christmas party.

CCBC SUPER CONGRESS MARCH 23-24, 2024

This event was held at Diggers The Entrance, and was a huge success. On Saturday 23rd March there were 30 tables in the Pairs event, and on Sunday 24th there were 24 Teams competing. Thank you to everyone for participating. Congratulations to our members who won prizes:
